2. French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier pays tribute to the late Amy Winehouse in his Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

Artist Anna Utopia Giordano created these Popbottles for an art exhibition to raise social awareness on topics such as alcohol abuse by teens, alcohol abuse by pregnant women, the disinterest of some parents towards their children, and how far marketers go to gain the attention of younger consumers.

4. French artist Jocelyn Grivaud created the "Poupée Barbie" collection to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic doll. Each work reinterprets a famous photograph, painting, sculpture, or still from a film with Barbie standing in as the protagonist.

5. "Poladarium 2012" is a tear-off calendar that features 366 Polaroids taken by various artists with descriptions on the back of each page. Published by Seltmann & Söhne.

Louis Vuitton / Marc Jacobs: In Association with the Musee des Arts Decoratifs, Paris explores the roles that Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs played in building one of the most successful and recognized brands in the world. Available through Rizzoli, the Louis Vuitton / Marc Jacobs book was created to accompany the exhibition of the same name at Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris (March 9th - September 16th, 2012).

8. "Daily Pattern" by Annika Syrjämäki is a database that was created to contain news scraped from six different English-speaking newspapers from all over the world. A program was subsequently developed to translate the data into a pattern. It is an innovative creation to communicate through textiles and fabrics. Make sure to check out "Daily Pattern" at Apeldoorn Center for Contemporary Culture, February 18th through March 17th, 2012.

9. “The Letter Racers” series, consisting of sculptures from iconic New York City graffiti artist Rammellzee, will be showcased at the MoMA starting February 19th.

10. Designer Martin Azura created The Basic House, a portable (it fits inside your pocket!), self-inflating shelter made of metalized polyester material, which traps heat from the sun to maintain a comfortable interior temperature and allows you to, as Azura claims, “Have it all, having almost nothing.”

11. Design team Hel Yes! combines food, dance, music, and design for a collaborative dining experience at the 2012 Stockholm Design Week from February 7th - 11th, including Finnish cuisine from Antto Melasniemi and musical accompaniment by Maria Duncker and her Bone Orchestra.

12. Marc Jacobs and South Park are two names you never thought you would hear in the same sentence. "Muscle Man Marc" teamed up with Comedy Central to feature the characters of South Park in his campaign to help raise awareness for skin cancer.
