5. Polka dot princess Yayoi Kusama has been very busy this year, collaborating with Louis Vuitton and now hosting an exhibit at the Whitney Museum through September 30th, which showcases her talent with mixed media installations and brings to light our culture and sentiments.

6. Prada teamed up with Parisian artist Vahram Muratyan to create a series of virtual graphics illustrating the brand's 2012 accessories. These graphics were then tranferred to T-shirts and will be available for purchase for 150 euros starting this month.

7. British artist Jason Martin recently completed an exhibition at the Lisson Gallery in London where his Behemoth sculpture, a monumental and matte black cube comprised of layers of stacked virgin cork and coated in pure black pigment, was on display as part of his Infinitive show.

9. Remember when Legos were the absolute coolest things to own as a kid? Well, elusive Dutch sculptor, painter, and guerrilla artist Ego Leonard has brought back this childhood pastime to the West Coast for his first ever Los Angeles exhibit. While his work can sometimes be seen washed up on international shores, you can now check it out at LAB Art Gallery, located at 217 S. La Brea Avenue. 

10. Los Angeles based artist Neil Krug recently put out a series of images titled Mirrors, in which he plays with landscapes, light, and various forms of nature and animal life.

11. As the London 2012 Summer Olympics quickly approach, French-born designer Luc Fusaro releases the athlete performance shoe, Designed to Win. Weighing in at only 96 grams, it is the most lightweight sprint shoe ever made. Prototype testing demonstrates that the shoe improves performance by 3.5%, which for Olympians might be the 0.35 second sprinting difference required to place in an event. 

12. Designed by ENESS, this glowing teeter-totter is siting pretty in Melbournce, Australia as part the Light in Winter program. It definitely gives new meaning to being a kid again.

13. New York based illustrator and graphic designer, Erin Jang, has an irresistible series entitled Food Sketches. For Food Sketches, Jang illustrates abstracted graphic representations of foods she has eaten in different restaurants. We’re hungry just looking at this!
