You’ve seen his photographs, we all have. Dolly Parton in a chaise lounge in front of an opera stage, red roses strewn at her feet; Gisele in nothing but an Indian head dress, Heidi Klum’s nipples threatening to be exposed with just a tug at her tempestuous neckline. Lenny Kravitz bathed in red paint, and Angelina Jolie leaning against the front of a cheap motel room; a bottle of half drunk bourbon loose in her fingertips. All celebrities, musicians and front and center public figures, shot during Seliger's tenure at Rolling Stone for over 10 years and recently now for GQ and Vanity Fair. On October 26, 2010, Rizzoli releases Listen, a personal collection of evocative nudes, landscapes and still lifes that focus entirely on light and shadow in black and white. The book also includes text by Seliger and Fred Woodward. Another beautiful book in Rizzoli's wonderful fall catalogue.
